A burning feeling and ache in the abdomen and chest area is known as heartburn. It is mainly a flaming and painful feeling in the esophagus. But, heartburn can be treated at home using Home remedies. Some effective home remedies for heartburn treatment are:
- At first indication of heartburn, increase the quantity of drinking water. This would work strongly for those patients whose heartburn problem is at initial stage.
- Take one cup water and boil it in a pan, now add one tablespoon of the dried marshmallow root in it. Cover the pan and allow it to boil for 15-20 minutes. Filter this solution and drink it at least 3 to 4 cups daily. It is very beneficial remedy for heartburn treatment.
- Make tea using cinnamon sticks and drink this tea twice a day. Cinnamon is helpful in treatment of heartburn.
- Prepare tea using chamomile tea and drink it after meals. This would provide relieve from esophageal irritation.
- Intake of Aloe Vera juice is very beneficial in curing intestinal tract and thus give relieve to a person suffering from heartburn.
- Take one glass water and add half a tsp of baking soda in it. Drink this decoction immediately after preparation. It is an easy and effective home remedy for heartburn treatment.
- Take one cup hot water and add 1 teaspoonful of honey and 1 tablespoonful of apple cider vinegar in it. Having this concoction would give relief from heartburn.
- Consumption of buttermilk during heartburn is very effective; it gives relive from heartburn and work well for the ailment.
- Take one cup water and add one and a half tsp of ginger root in it. Boil this mixture for 10 to 15 minutes. Drinking this solution would provide relief for the pain caused due to heartburn.
- Take 1 or 2 raw potato and clean them properly. Now without peeling chop them into small pieces and stir them. Drink this potato juice instantly. You can mix it with some other juice for taste. But make sure that it is drunk immediately.
- Easiest remedy for heartburn treatment is yellow mustard. Take 1 tsp of yellow mustard with about a glass of water. This would control heartburn immediately.
